Order OpenBSD 4.3 now!

In January 2005 I found myself in need of a laptop, having had to return the Portege 2000 - and having recommended the iBook to my father-in-law and some friend's I though it was time that I took the plunge and bought an apple iBook G4, my first apple computer since the apple ][e.

Two reasons influenced my purchase of the iBook G4: the first was that the it could run OpenBSD; and secondly that the price / performance / functionality was excellent for £699. Although I should have paid the extra £35 for the internal bluetooth adaptor.

The iBook G4 had some frustations for me like especially the keyboard, with the lack of the # key and the fact that the @ and ~ symbols are in different positions - frustrating when touch typing ;~)   and still cannot get used to a one button mouse....

The iBook has become my childrens machine.
